The primary purpose of the bill (Reg. No.7336) is to set the time limit for the possible inspections of mass media by the state bodies (during the period of elections), amending the Laws "On Elections of the President of Ukraine", "On Elections of the People's Deputies of Ukraine", and "On Elections of the Deputies of the Verkhovna Rada of the Autonomous Republic of the Crimea, Local and Village Council and Mayors."
The Committee members concluded that the bill meets the obligations of Ukraine within the Council of Europe.
